Shantai Coffee is born between two worlds: the mountains of Cusco and Barcelona’s coffee culture. Together with local coffee-growing communities, we hand-select micro-lots grown between 1,900 and 2,300 metres above sea level, which we gently roast to reveal a balanced coffee rich in nuances.

Most speciality coffees stand out for their acidity. Shantai, by contrast, is distinguished by its balance and intense sweetness on the palate. A rounded, refined profile that reflects the purity of the bean and the care behind each stage of the process.

A quality you can feel

We only select beans that score above 85 SCA points. Consistent quality, from the Andes to artisanal roasting in Barcelona.

LOWER CAFFEINE

Whereas most speciality coffees sit between 0.8 and 1.5 grams of caffeine, Shantai contains between 0.4 and 0.6. A gentler, clearer and more mindful energy, designed for those seeking balance without giving up the pleasure of the finest speciality coffee.

THE ALTITUDE AND THE RICHNESS OF THE SOIL

Our coffee farms are located between 1,900 and 2,300 metres above sea level, where the beans ripen more slowly and absorb nutrients from the soil for longer. This combination of altitude, climate and volcanic soil creates an exceptional sensory profile.
